Daniel Nester is an active bassoon performer and teacher in Colorado, where he has recently received his Doctorate in bassoon performance and pedagogy. He has served as principal bassoon player of the Israel Chamber Orchestra, with whom he toured internationally and recorded commercial CDs. He received his Master’s degree from the University of Southern California, where he was also the 1st place winner in the school concerto competition. Currently Daniel serves as principal bassoon of the Arapahoe PHilharmonic Orchestra, as well as several other regional ensembles. Daniel firmly believes in collaborative teaching and learning of the bassoon, and is happy to discuss his ideas with anyone who would listen!”
